Getting started with InkFrog and listing imports

Overview

InkFrog is a third-party listing management tool used by many eBay sellers. This article explains how Frooition works alongside InkFrog, and the recommended approach for moving from InkFrog-hosted designs to Frooition templates.

Is Frooition compatible with InkFrog?

Frooition's Boost Analytics service is not directly compatible with InkFrog. If you use InkFrog to manage your listings and want to use Frooition templates, the recommended approach is to place your Frooition template code inside InkFrog. InkFrog will then handle the bulk application of the template to all your live listings.

When your new Frooition template is ready, the team will provide you with the template code. You then paste this into InkFrog and apply it to your listings from within InkFrog's interface.

Removing old InkFrog designs

If you are moving away from InkFrog and want to use Frooition's own tools to manage your template, the first step is removing the existing InkFrog template code from your listings. Frooition can do this for you as part of the onboarding process. Raise a ticket and the team will clean the old design from your listings before applying the new Frooition template.

Importing drafts from Live Listings

If you use the ‘Import Selected to Drafts’ feature in Frooition, be aware that importing a live listing creates a new draft rather than updating an existing one. If you already have a draft for the same listing, this will result in a duplicate draft rather than an update. To avoid this, delete the existing draft before importing, or manage drafts carefully to avoid running duplicate revisions.

Cross-promotion and store categories in InkFrog

When your Frooition template is set up inside InkFrog, cross-promotion settings and store category links within the template are configured at the time of build. If you need to update these after the initial setup, raise a support ticket and the team will provide an updated template code for you to replace in InkFrog.
